Carson started big boy food this week! He wasn't quite sure what to think about it at first, but he's adjusting rather nicely. We tried to give him green beans, but he wasn't very enthusiastic about those. Actually, he cried. For now, we'll stick to the rice cereal and take it slowly. The doctor was very pleased at his last visit. He hasn't had much change in weight, but is now 26 1/2 inches long. The nurse says he is drop dead gorgeous and that she doesn't get paid extra to tell us that. He's really started to play with his toys and enjoy it. We bought a Johnny Jumper for the kitchen doorway. He doesn't do much jumping in it. In fact, he just kind of hangs there, slumped over and gnawing on the side of it, but he's starting to figure it out. There really isn't much that he doesn't attempt to put into his mouth; toys, rattles, fingers, hair, shoulders, tablecloths. You name it....his taste buds are curious. He's still coming with me to work, which we are so thankful for! He's become the office mascot and patients look forward to seeing him and watching him grow. I think he revels in the attention. Nick recently bought a remote control rock crawler, which he and Carson spend time driving together. Nick throws him into the Jeep carrier and they head out into the yard. Carson loves it!! He will watch that car drive around for hours. I'm sure nothing will change when he is older. Daddy and Carson will have a lot of fun together...and mom will get to take pictures. :)

Photo Shoot

It's been an exciting and busy time in our house the past few weeks. This Thursday marks four months for Carson. Time flies. He changes everyday and we wouldn't be surprised if he was up and running around soon. He's rolling over, both from his front to his back and his back to his front. He's trying as hard as he can to sit up and can support himself completely while standing. He just has a little issue with balance. He's a happy guy in the morning and smiles and laughs more then than any other time. We are grateful for his mild temperment, but I'd sure like a bit more sleep. He's still up every 3-4 hours...and I'm still very tired. He does, however, have an appointment with the doctor next week, so we will be starting big boy food and hoping that helps. He'll also get his routine weigh in and we're anxious to see what he has packed on since last time. Last weigh in....16 lbs.

We had a photographer come to the house and take a few pictures for us. I've still got to order the negatives, but here are a few for now. We'll update later.
