We've had a wonderful couple of weeks. We hiked to Chimney Beach at Lake Tahoe and Carson experienced his first time in the lake, which he was less than thrilled with. In fact, he cried. The sand, however, he loved! He loved running his fingers through it and the feeling of it slipping through his fists. By the end of the day he was filthy and had a diaper full of dirt. We managed to escape with just a single attempt at eating it too! To celebrate the 4th we picked up our nephews and drove to Schurz, NV to set off our own fireworks at the Weber Reservoir. Surprisingly, Carson did great with the explosions. He was less than thrilled with the whistle of the fireworks launching. That also made him cry. The sparklers were his favorite, prompting grunting and wriggling. He lasted about ten minutes past dark and fell asleep. He certainly loves to be outside and after a brief rebellious period regarding sitting in his stroller, he has come to realize it is much better to sit back, relax and enjoy the sunshine.
