A broken arm for Christmas???

We've suffered and survived our first broken bone. Carson bounced off of the couch and broke his radius on Saturday night. It's slowed him down little, as he continues to try to jump on the couch and is climbing the walls. The only time he is really irritated is bedtime. I suppose the cast cramps his style. I didn't know it could be possible to grow any more tired than we are now....but we have discovered it is. On a happier note, we were able to visit Santa before the break. I'm not sure what the boys asked Santa for, but I'm sure they won't be disappointed on Christmas morning!

The Tree Hunt and Trimmings

We headed out to Dog Valley in search of the perfect tree last weekend. It was a success! While the weather cooperated, the lack of snow sure makes it feel like it is not Christmas. It was definietly chilly though. Nick was able to play with his chainsaw from last year's Christmas and we were able to enjoy the kids in the outdoors. Once the tree made it home, it was time to decorate. Carson figured it was his responsibility to show us where each ornament should be hung....and wasn't pleased if we didn't follow orders. Van loved the lights and tangled himself in them more than a few times. Even now, days after decorating, the boys prefer to spend their time in the 'Christmas Room', just hanging out by the tree. Just wait until there are presents.....

Go Speed Racer - Race Car Party

Well, our Carson is TWO! It's hard to believe that we've managed to pack in so much in such a short time...and how quickly that time has gone! He had his best buddies Cruz, Ryden and Tyler come over to party. His favorite surprise? His Great Grandma Nilda and Grandpa Stephen drove up from So. Cal to help celebrate. He was so happy to spend some time with them showing off his toys and tricks.
