Carson has taken over the office. He's certainly the center of attention, his toys are sprawled across the floor, his chatter drowns out most of the other conversation and he's found his feet in his Jeep, wandering (nearly running) up and down the halls exploring. I am fortunate to work with wonderful people who help. I work 10x harder having him at work with me, but we are so grateful for the opportunity. He changes and gets smarter everyday. It's pretty scary, actually. He's discovered that outside is much more fun than inside and he doesn't particularly care to sit in his stroller anymore while on walks. He'd much rather be carried. It's easier to see things that way. He's discovered that grass between your toes tickles a little bit, but it still feels kinda nice. He's discovered that he loves the iPAD just as much as daddy and that he is really not such a bad pianist for a beginner. He's discovered that juice is pretty yummy but doesn't compare to rock candy. That really makes your mouth water. He's believes that he should be the one in charge of the remote control. No one else pushes enough buttons. He's discovered that mangoes are his new favorite fruit and that all green vegetables make him gag. Terribly. He's found that since he can't yet crawl, rolling across the floor gets him where he wants to be. He's discovered that his toes work just as well as his thumbs for sucking, but they aren't quite as easily conquered. He's discovered that if he talks in the back seat of the car while driving, it doesn't seem quite as lonely. He's decided that naptime really isn't his cup of tea. A 15 minute power nap will pull him through the next 3 or 4 hours. Meanwhile, Mom is in desperate need of a 3-4 hour nap to give her a strong 15 minutes. He's discovered that his favorite seat is on Dad's shoulders. His hair and ears work perfectly as handles. He's convinced the dogs are strictly around for his entertainment purposes and that Aspen doubles beautifully as a horse. As for Nick and I? We've discovered that life just doesn't get any better.
