What a hectic month! We've much exciting news to report. First and foremost, we've officially moved into our new home! Well, not completely, but we are working on it. Boxes are still packed and scattered throughout the house, the closets remain mostly empty and finding clothes every morning proves to test our patience. However, we do have a bed set up...and a television. The old house is beginning to thin out, though it still looks like a bomb has gone off. It's amazing how much junk you can fit into 900sf. We will be working tirelessly to get the new place settled and the old place situated to rent or sell. Just the thought of our 'to do' list wears me out. We are thrilled with our new purchase. The house sits on half an acre, which has the dogs convinced we live at the park and has Nick dreading the mowing of the lawn. The driveway and garage are large enough to hide the fact that we have far to many vehicles and will support Nick's habit well. The kitchen is a HUGE improvement and will feed my addiction to cake baking rather nicely. We might even find a little space for a piano. We feel very fortunate and look forward to raising our family in such a beautiful home. We've attached a few pictures. We will post more once we are settled with our things.
Carson is busier than ever exploring his new surroundings. He's crawling everywhere, typically in the direction of chords and plugs. His Jeep glides across the floor. He's learned to reverse and corner with ease...most of the time. We'll still have plenty of touch up to do. He's discovered a little balance and bravery this week, learning to stand....legs bent, arms straight out. I'm not sure we're quite ready for what is coming next. Panic is beginning to set in. We have some serious baby proofing to do. He's made the office his own, helping 'unfile' charts, cruising into consultations and occasionally by surgery. He's the official office mascot...and trouble maker.
